When Nobody Buys: The Unconfessed Truth of All Internet Marketers

By Judith & Jim

You’re involved in the Internet because you want to generate online money.

You’ve created your new product or service to market and sell to people who you believe will be thrilled to have your help and support.

You get a terrific sales page, write your sales copy, and you get it all ready to go.

Then you send an enthusiastic message out to your list members inviting them to improve their lives with what you’re offering.

And you wait to get your first sale.

And you wait to get your first sale.

And you wait to get your first sale.

And you wait to get your first sale.

And you wait to get your first sale.

And it never comes.

You feel like you’ve been run over by a garbage truck . . .

And you imagine that you are the only person who has ever bombed.

You’re sick to your stomach. Dizzy. Headache. Depression sets in.

And if you’re not careful, you conclude that who you are—who you are deep in your soul—is a FAILURE.

Except—you aren’t!

You’re simply going through the learning curve of that particular product with your particular list members.

You’re testing and learning that you need to learn more.

But—here’s the poisonous rub—you rarely if ever hear about these “Crash & Burn” times from the big names in Internet Marketing. Lots of them make it sound like there were millions rolling in from the first day.

That’s so dangerous to all of our Soft Sell Marketing sensibilities and imaginations.

And take it from us, it’s happened to us any number of times, and it happens to EVERYBODY, no matter how many kajillions someone claims to make on their first product launch.

And we’ve had to learn how to learn from those “Crashes & Burns”—both with regard to marketing but even more so spiritually. . .

To realize that we have to discover a deeper level of self-love than we’ve ever been required to discover, and to surrender to the deeper calling of our souls’ need for us to go there.

Because It’s All in the Connection,

Judith & Jim

    Dear Judith and Jim,

Thank you so much for this post. It is so important for all of us to be reminded that we are not the problem but rather that the solution resides deeply within us. The growth comes with learning to seek our own counsel, first, rather than listening to outer conditions; a tough habit to break.

    In Love and Light,

    Arieljoy,

We all need to be reminded of reality. Even the major Internet marketers have their waiting-without-a-sale campaigns. It happens to everyone.

It’s so important to tell the truth, because otherwise all that happens is illusion is created an that hurts everyone.

I think you wrote this just for me. I also think I suffer from a major case of the “impatients.” I want what I want when I want it!!!! NOW!!!

And what I often get is just one more learning experience

And some good successes with some of what I am doing to counter the ones that still need a little work.

Thanks for keeping our spirits up…

    Pat,

Keeping our spirits up in the face of so much illusion on the Internet is crucial. Because success is real but it takes time.

But if that truth were told openly how many sales would the gurus get of their “you can do it now” products?

  5. Dear Judith and Jim,
I had forgotten about your blog but I won’t forget it in the future. Good points about things that don’t sell. We create and create and think that people are just waiting with baited breath for us to announce our newest brain child. Surely everyone knows how much spiritual energy you put into your creation! Only it does not work quite like that. Whether people buy or not could be the time of day, day of week, your word choice or their frame of mind when they open your announcement. Nothing should be taken personally.

What can I say, this is a great post. The only question I would have is why does it have to be that way? Keep up the good work.
