Buying – Do You Have An Aversion To It?
ByRoz Fruchtman (http://www.SayItWithEcards.com) commented on the previous post about how so many people have an aversion to selling. Rather than leave it in the comment box, we’ve decided to use it as the center of this post.
Roz’s Comment:
Hi Judith and Jim:Unless I am missing the point, it is the same old thing… people like what you are giving as long as you do not offer anything! I wonder if they would go to work for free!
Did I miss something here?

I agree, Roz. People like being given to but not having to reciprocate, in this case, in the form of money.
Your comment got me to thinking, however, about why we want things for free.
The obvious answer is financial. We don’t have to let loose of our money.
But I think there is a deeper answer.
Very few if any of us are raised in such a way that we feel seen, heard, respected, valued, and encouraged, and we spend lives longing to get what we never got. And what we should have experienced initially would have come to us at no charge.
So we end up in the world unconsciously wanting it to give us what we never had, and we don’t expect to have to pay for it because we rightfully should not have had to pay for it to begin with.
So the word “free” goes much deeper than no-cash-out-of-pocket. It’s an unconscious longing for what we deeply wanted and needed and never got.
Perhaps that’s why “free” has such power.
Because It’s All in the Connection,
Jim
PS – And here’s our offer. Go to Judith & Jim and click the “Products” link in the listing on the left hand side of the page. That will take you to most of the products we offer . . . and have a good time shopping.

Very cleverly done. I appreciate the way you two handle yourselves and your business. I am learning so much by just watching.
Thanks Robert,
We’ds like to know just hwat you are learning.
Jim
Thank You so much Judith and Jim for giving me the privilege, honor and opportunity of sharing my opinion!
I admit, I like free just as much as the next person, but I take into consideration that not everything can be free as people have to earn a living. As well, as an artist I can understand what other creatives go through with this free vs pay stuff!
On the other hand… I like to offer free from time to time as it is a true blessing for me to give back and make others happy via my service.
It’s tough!
