Rabbit Easter Bunny – Love Your Customers   Chicks

 Last night we went into our local Whole Foods market to get a snack and do some preparation for the week.
 
At checkout, one of our favorite cashiers, Patrick, was marketing with heart—perched on his shoulder was a darling stuffed Easter Bunny (pinned to his t-shirt in the back).
 
No words were needed. Patrick’s love for his customers—adults and children—was clearly evident by his creative expression of joy and play. And it showed in the glimmer in his eye, the broad grin that sprang to life as each customer checking out commented on his “darling little friend,” “sweet little companion,” and “the best Bunny ever.”

We’ve been asked: What Is The Basic Template of Soft Sell Marketing?

The answer is simultaneously necessary and dangerous.

It’s necessary, because the idea of a “template” refers to some kind of pattern, perhaps paradigm is a better word. A pattern is necessary to set a direction, suggest principles and techniques, and create a sense of membership.

It’s dangerous, because people will conform to a pattern and unconsciously limit themselves, with the result that they will sound a lot like others. And in sounding like others they will pat themselves on the back for having succeeded.

So perhaps the best way to describe the soft sell template is to describe various elements that make up soft sell marketing.
